Back in the early 2010's, while living in southern France, we found ourselves enchanted by old châteaux and dreaming of transforming one into a charming bed & breakfast. Life had other plans - money, timing, and reality got in the way - but that dream of creating a special place for people to gather and make memories? That never left us.

For 15 years, we've been searching for the right project. Along the way, we've been preparing without even knowing it. We bought properties, learned the hospitality business through our Air bnb's in Wausau, and discovered we enjoyed getting our hands dirty with renovations (primarily through trial and error!). Jim's Air Force civil engineering background gave him the skills to lead construction teams like a pro, while Anna brings her gift for creative problem-solving and seeing how all the pieces fit together.

The Moment We Knew-

When our commercial real estate broker spotted a Facebook post about some off-market cabins in West Baraboo, he thought of us immediately. The moment we walked the property, we fell head-over-heels in love. Sure, we could see it would be a massive undertaking, but we could also envision the magic hiding beneath decades of wear. The Log Lodge Motel cabins have been welcoming guests since the 1930s - nearly a century of stories, laughter, and memories!

One original cabin will become a museum celebrating this incredible history, while the others are getting completely transformed from seasonal retreats into year-round havens.

Our 11 thoughtfully renovated cabins, ranging from intimate 225-square-foot retreats perfect for couples, to our unique duplex cabin, great for friends traveling together, providing all the charm without the chaos.

Each cozy cabin features a queen bed, compact bathroom, sitting area, kitchenette, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. Some include pull-out couches for extra flexibility, while our duplex offers connecting spaces that can lock off for privacy or open up for groups.
